Group Operations Responsible (GOR)

As a result of our continuous growth and some large projects under way, we are on the lookout for somebody with a technical background to join our team on a fulltime basis.

Department: Operations

Place within the organisation:

Position (GOR) is a corporate operations function. Position reports directly to the CIO and indirectly to the CEO. Position has no direct reports. Internal contact is within the operation department over the different locations and brands including support for sales. External contact is with auditors, suppliers and as support for colleagues also with customers. Position is no part of the management team.

Purpose of the function:

To manage all local operations of DCstar, part of DatacenterUnited and ensure all installations fulfil the legal standards, operations is working optimal in terms of stability / availability. Other important elements that are in scope of the function are customer SLA management as support for the operation department, cost effectiveness, security and ensuring client satisfaction is maximised.

Areas of responsibility:

· Operations management:

Ensures operation teams is motivated and dedicated with clear objectives.

Ensures all installations are operated according supplier best practises.

Constantly develop and optimise the function.

· Facility management:

Support facility by follow up and coordinate their activities. Ensure that maintenance planning and procedures are in time in place, that HVAC- and power monitoring is in place and manage upgrades where needed. Support operations by integrating common systems that can be used over all sites. Support facility with their Opex, Capex and their requested reports as and when required. Ensure quality of facility works and act as second pair of eyes for the CIO. Evaluate on regular base the efficiency of the datacenter and manage corrections in agreement with operations and facilities in case deviations are noticed.

· Service delivery Management:

Support service delivery design and implementation of customer requests as and when required. Support the management team by customer bids. Act as technical and operational interface between DCstar, part of DatacenterUnited and customers.

· Process management:

Ensure alignment with external regulations. Develop and implement business process guidelines for aspects such as trouble-shooting, change management, dedicated follow-up of activities and timely status reporting. Support management by timely updating their quality systems to reach their certificates.

· Other:

Act as technical expert for sales and in negotiations. Support to tenders when requested and required. Take the advisory role on technical matters for the management team. Help by execution of the tasks described above.

Profile:

· Higher educated in technical field or equivalent.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as engineer in electro technical environment.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as engineer in industrial / mechanical technical environment.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management.

· Datacenter facility experience.

· Fluent in Dutch and English.

· Excellent problem solving skills.

· Excellent people management skills.

· Good communication skills.

· Google knowledge.

· Accurate.

· Proactive.

· Stress-resilient.

• Enable to work autonomous on projects and on technical interventions.
• Interested in the world of HVAC, electricity, gen sets, UPS, data cabling and security
• You have a hands-on mentality and stress resistant in an emergency situation.
• Driver license B.
