A company delivering essential public services is currently looking to hire a Head of Accounting to join their offices in Brussels. Thanks to your experience in accounting and in finance, you will be the perfect addition to the company.

Your main responsibilities as the new Head of Accounting will include:

  • Running effectively the daily, monthly and annual finance operations
  • Being responsible for statutory and regulatory financial requirements and ensure the appropriate level of awareness
  • Managing the monthly closing processes at country level and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financials
  • Delivering the reporting required by group, division and management
  • Preparation of VAT, tax returns and statutory accounts according to Belgium GAAP
  • Reviewing of financial processes and controls
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations according to group requirements
  • Communicating about balance sheet risks and opportunities
  • Supporting in contract profitability analysis and budget
  • Management of internal and external audits

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar function for an international company
  • You are fluent in French or Dutch and English
