Dive into the heart of logistics with a pivotal role as a Head of Transport Planning, where you’ll join a team committed to excellence and cost efficiency. This role places you at the strategic center of our operations, where you’ll manage and optimize transport routes to ensure top-tier service delivery to our international clientele.

Reorting to the C-level, you’ll be a key player to our management team, driving forward our logistics solutions.

Tasks

You will lead by example, promoting best practices, optimizing cost, and co-creating impactful strategies with key stakeholders for achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse team responsible for transport planning across multiple regions, within a matrix organisation.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and execution of transport planning processes, acting as the go-to expert for all planning-related queries and escalations.
  • Optimize transport costs by driving initiatives that reduce empty mileage, enhance routing efficiency, and leverage capacity effectively.
  • Manage relationships with local transport managers and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with corporate and regional guidelines.
  • Spearhead new transport initiatives and strategies, contributing to the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in (senior) transport planning role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Your higher educational background in logistics/business or a related field has equipped you with ability to make strategic decisions based on data.
  • You are a strong, dynamic team player with excellent communication skills, proficient in MS Office, and fluent in English, Dutch is plus.
