Pauwels Consulting is looking for someone to strengthen the Helpdesk team at our customer.Within the Pauwels family, you will also find a strong community of Support & Network Engineers which will enable you to exchange ideas, experiences and maybe even discover new niches!
Your main responsibilities include:
- You offer first-line support for all kinds of IT problems. Not only office employees count on you, you are also the lifesaver for the employees in our warehouses and stores. You will receive questions about passwords, printers, networks, cash register systems, software…
- You are not a conduit for questions, but you solve as many problems as possible yourself, quickly and efficiently. What you cannot solve over the phone, you pass on to colleagues from more specialized teams.
- You determine the priority for each call. What needs to be solved right away and what can wait? After the support call, you follow up from A to Z to make sure that the problem is completely solved and that everyone is satisfied
- Challenging projects based on your interests and skills

- IT background - You have a basic knowledge of IT and are good with computers, even if you do not have a diploma in that field. If you have already followed a relevant training (eg as a computer administrator or PC technician) is an extra advantage.
- Customer-oriented communicator - You are empathetic, listenable and calm. You assist every employee as best as possible, not only because it is your job but also and above all because you like to help people.
- Analytical and problem-solving - You are able to quickly detect a problem by asking the right questions to the employee. You tackle every problem immediately and independently come up with the most efficient solution.
- Professionalism - You are an important point of contact, so we expect you to be professional in all your contacts.
- Flexible: You work according to a varying schedule between 06:00 and 22:00. On average you work 1 time a month on Saturday and 3 times a year on a Sunday or public holiday
- Language skills - You communicate fluently in Dutch and French. English is a plus, because communication with the IT staff in the back office often takes place in that language.
