You at AGC’s Technovation Centre – Engineering department – your mission

• You are based at the Technovation Centre close to Brussels (Belgium) where research & development and engineering activities are centralized under one roof with 280 members of personnel
• You work for the engineering department - mainly for building projects. You are part of the design team with several collaborators specialised in different disciplines as well as external partners and suppliers.

Your responsibilities as hot glas engineering specialist

For projects involving the construction or repairing of glass production lines, you are in charge of

• studies relating to glass melting equipment (refractories, metal structures, cooling circuit), tin bath (float), annealing gallery and process auxiliaries,
• organizing assembly and/or supervision and/or “on-site” commissioning of the equipment
• answering requests for audits, inter-regional exchanges (best practices) or technical assistance on production lines

Your profile

• Civil or industrial engineer
• Good knowledge of CAD (3D) tools /softwares
• Strong interest for technical challenges, innovation and creativity
• Curious, with a bias for in depth understanding of the customers’ true issues
• Oriented to action and results, perseverant and autonomous
• Team spirit and initiative
• Very good self organization
• Five years experience, preferably in the engineering department of a manufacturing industry
• Travelling abroad is part of the mission - frequent but generally for short durations
• Fluent in English (essential). Knowledge of French is a must.
