About 1898 The Post

1898 The Post is a boutique hotel located in the centre of Ghent with approximately 20 FTE’s and is looking for a part-timeHRandadministrative assistant to perform a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks. You will support general management in HR related duties like following up and controlling time registration, liaison our payroll administrator Liantis, organising and posting job ads, updating HR database, processing employees vacation requests etc..

Our HR administrative assistant position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. If you are passionate about HR policies and procedures and want to help create a nourishing workplace, this position is for you.

As our HR and Administrative assistant you will take the full responsibility of:
  • Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
  • Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation and sick leaves)
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leaves
  • Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
  • Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
  • Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
  • Direct contact with our payroll administrator
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Fluent (verbally and written) in Dutch. Good knowledge of French and English (verbally)
  • Previous experience of minimum 5 years in a similar position.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Being able to work independently
  • Great organizational, administrative and planning skills.
  • Accurate, precise and timely
  • Attention to detail
  • PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications and “My Liantis”
  • Knowledge of labour legislation
  • Teamwork skills
