We are looking for a part-time (3-4 days) Freelance HR Generalist to support our distribution center in Leuven (100 employees). This temporary role until end of October 2025 (prolongation possible) is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being a reliable presence on-site and supporting teams in a people-focused environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as the main HR contact for daily matters including recruitment, onboarding, exits, and employee support
  • Handle HR administration using SD Worx (Eblox) and Workday, including contract setup, time and leave management, and interim hours
  • Provide clear guidance on Belgian employment legislation, including topics such as special leave, accidents,...
  • Contribute to learning and development initiatives, employee well-being, and HR policy implementation
  • Collaborate with the HR team in Leuven and offer thoughtful, well-informed HR advice to site management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HR and the ability to manage tasks with care and ownership
  • Familiarity with SD Worx (Eblox) and Workday
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labor law and HR practices
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Able to communicate clearly and offer practical solutions in a supportive manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working with Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Experience in logistics, distribution, or a similar operational setting with blue collar labour
