As a HSE Manager - Prevention Advisor, you play a key role in optimizing quality, safety, health and environment within Algeco Belgium. You report directly to the Managing Director and work from Beringen, with regular visits to our other location in Perwez.

Your responsibilities:

• Initiate and coordinate QHSE policy within the organization.
• Supervise compliance with laws and regulations in the area of:

1: Safety and Health

• Working conditions and environmental management
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

2: Manage and expand certifications, including:

• Maintenance of VCA, ISO 9001, and FSC
• Implementation of ISO 14001 and the CO₂ performance ladder

3: Stimulate process improvements and challenge the organization to:

• Optimize quality and safety policy
• Enhance environmental awareness
• Implement continuous improvements

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years of experience in process optimization and quality management.

• Education: industrial sciences: Safety techniques/ Prevention management/ Bachelor in Integral Safety or equivalent through experience.

• Knowledge and experience with:

1: INK management model, ISO, VCA, and FSC certifications.

2: Process improvement and organizational change.

3: Safety, health, and environment (SHE) and a valid VOL VCA certificate.

• Strong analytical skills and experience with process optimization within quality management and IT.

• Language skills in NL and EN, with excellent conversational and advisory skills. Knowledge of French is a plus.

• Digital skills, extensive experience with Word, Excel, and project management tools.

• Independent and proactive, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.

• Team player and connector, able to build trust and collaboratively achieve widely accepted improvements.

• Customer-focused and results-oriented, with attention to detail and fulfilling commitments.

• Affinity with the construction sector is an added value but not a must.
