Our Production Engineering & Industrialization team develops ‘state of the art’ production processes and testing solutions for newly developed high-tech products.

Today we are looking to strengthen the team with an experienced Industrialization Engineer who will focus on process improvements and industrialization projects.

As Industrialization Engineer you will be
  • Able to influence the Barco production processes of the future and as such improve existing processes;
  • Making architectural decisions together with colleagues throughout the organization;
  • Participating & leading industrialization projects;
  • Supporting industrialization colleagues in their daily activities;
  • Developing creative ways to solve problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • You write software to test and align our medical products;
  • You design, develop and implement flexible & lean processes and state of the art techniques and efficient tools;
  • You influence the design for manufacturability and testability to ensure cost-effective test solutions and smooth production flows;
  • You work closely together with international R&D and industrialization teams;
  • You ensure time, cost and quality of projects you’re working on and escalate where needed;
  • You document the processes and toolings introduced in production;
  • You initiate and implement improvement ideas;
  • You support the manufacturing team.

Your profile
  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree with experience;
  • You have a good knowledge of electronics and of program languages (eg.: C#, .net, scripting languages,…);
  • Considered as a plus:
    • Validation & Documentation skills
    • Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens Tia Portal)
    • Lean 6 Sigma knowledge
    • Knowhow in SAP, optics, mechanics and visualization techniques and applications
  • You are enthusiastic about operations and manufacturing;
  • You are proactive and customer-focused, like to take initiatives and very motivated to work within an international context;
  • You are passionate about excellence: problem solving, product development, project management and gain energy by defining and implementing efficient and lean production processes;
  • You are a communicative team player who speaks fluently English and Dutch;
  • You are positive and assertive with a “hands on can do” mentality;
  • You are always challenging status quo;
  • You are willing to travel.
