For our restaurant in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our team and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant - which is a fundamental part of the ’The Avocado Show’ experience. Your responsibilities will include collecting used glasses, cutlery, plates and utensils, loading the dishwashing machines and organizing washed items.

The Avocado Show was founded in 2017, and - what’s in a name - creates pretty healthy food made with/from avocados. With over 150,000 followers on Instagram, and restaurants in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and many more countries to come, we are well on our way to take over the world and share our pretty healthy food with everyone!

What will you be doing?

  • You will be collecting used service and kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas. Prewashing and loading and unloading them from the dishwashing machines.
  • You will store the cleaned equipment appropriately.
  • You ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • You set up and sanitize the kitchen area/workstations before the meal preps begin and assist the Chef(s) if required.
  • You maintain stock of cleaning supplies organized and report any technical/performance issues of the dishwashing machines.
  • To keep the workspace clean, you will also remove garbage regularly.
  • You will support the kitchen team with the receiving of goods.
  • You will support the team with the organization and maintenance of storage areas and common areas.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You are full of energy and have a positive attitude that is contagious.
  • Work experience in a similar role would be great, but is not a requirement. Hard work and enthusiasm are equally important!
  • You are able to follow instructions and help with various tasks as they pop up.
  • You have attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • You are flexible in working hours, which means you will also be working during evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • You LOVE this brand and have clear motivation to be a part of it.
  • You are able to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus).
