Overview

PM Group requires a Lead Design Manager (contractor) to be based on-site at a leading Data-centre client located in Belgium.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Data-Centre construction projects. The role will require an expert level of knowledge of BCAR, design coordination and mechanical and electrical installation.

Excellent hourly-rate/day-rate on offer.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will have a dynamic personality with expert knowledge of the inner workings of a Data-Centre and will assume responsibility for coordinating and scheduling and chairing team meetings, managing the technical submittal process for all elements of the project, tracking the project development, and providing technical support.
  • You will also be tasked with issuing monthly status update reports and dashboard trackers to senior management, as well as maintaining effective communication channels with all stakeholders.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance
  • Data Centre capacity planning and reporting

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience of working with large global data centre providers in multiple regions globally.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations in multiple jurisdictions
  • Vendor management experience
  • Sustainable design experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
