WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Scope

Lead FP&A, will be responsible for planning, pacing, reporting and cost management for Chemicals & Monitoring Solutions business Europe region, reporting to the region’s Finance Manager, supporting the regions operating / commercial teams and Finance HQ team to drive profitable growth, process standardization and process compliance. Will demonstrate accountability in developing, maintaining and communicating key finance processes, metrics and systems, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, responsible for budgeting, forecasting and planning and measuring performance, variance analysis leveraging advanced BI tools.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Financial analysis & business models - Build and manage financial databases by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources
  • Operational support – leverage global reporting tools for discussions with operational leaders to track actuals vs. plan and drive actions to deliver annual sales to COM targets
  • Profitability accountability – leverage global reporting tools to analyze profitability by region, product line and customer and recommend action plan to improve productivity
  • Planning cycles – work closely with operations in order to coordinate and submit short- / long-term planning cycles, support strategic decisions
  • Commercial / controllership / DOA activities – train / educate operations on controllership matters, ensure application of global policies, support statutory audits and account recs
  • Process improvement and standardization
  • Performs ad hoc analysis for executives and finance manager as required
  • Presenting the data to the business

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required education and experience:



Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a controller/financial analyst
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • SAP experience required
  • Dutch & English – Full professional proficiency
  • Tableau proficient (or any other similar BI / data visualization tools)
  • Team player mindset
  • Dynamism, agility and proactivity
  • Work independently and self-motivated


Desired Characteristics

  • CPA / ACCA with Big 4 Accounting firm experience / business consultant experience
  • Experience with Macros & business warehouse applications.
  • Experience with other financial systems: Project Systems, COGNOS, BO etc.
  • Project management skills
  • Process orientation and ability to continuously drive improvement
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and to meet strict deadlines under pressure
  • Wanting to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Industry knowledge
