We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our organisation as a Learning Technology Leader. The role has a global scope and is part of the Learning and Development division.
Context Of The Role
The Learning Technology Leader builds a vision and a roadmap to build an outstanding learning technology eco-system and approach to employee learning. The role collaborates with the HR and Business leadership teams globally to craft, manage and implement effective strategies for integrating innovative technology and virtual learning practice.
As Our Learning Technology Leader, You Will
- Partner with key stakeholders to define and articulate the global learning technology strategy and shape the vision for learning technology platforms (LMS, LRS, LXP), in house created and 3rd party digital content providers.
- Own and build out the core learning technology ecosystem (LMS, satellite platforms, content, data, remote learning, live streaming conferencing) that delivers innovative digital training solutions to meet business needs.
- Lead a globally dispersed enterprise learning operations team of employees and contingent workers.
- Develop and maintain key systems, operations and content vendor relationships and ensure they are aligned with the company’s digital transformation.
- Lead the design, delivery, and operations of innovative technology solutions that engage learners in an efficient manner using a combination of synchronous/ virtual instructor led and asynchronous/ digital learning approaches.
- Establish a learning technology governance structure that guides the direction and performance standards of the eco-system and establishes content standards.
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards that highlight the business impact of learning.
- Drive operational excellence across the learning technology eco-system and contribute to global learning standardization & continuous improvement (tools, platforms, processes).
- Identify areas of the learning technology eco-system for automation and digital innovation and lead on the implementation of these initiatives.
- Partner with Learning Leaders to build a learning content curation network that enables learners to manage their own learning and embed it in their day to day activity.
- Ensure learning content (whether built in-house or procured through 3rd parties) is well designed, brings appropriate consistency and quality, includes a range of media and formats and enables learning in real time using performance support tools.
- Scan the market for new technologies and initiatives and propose improvements in the learning technology infrastructure at Air Products.
- Act as a thought leader in the learning technology space, delivering improvements to build a world-renowned proposition for Air Products employees.
- You are a high-reaching technology leader who encourages and owns the development and implementation of a learning technology mission and vision customized to Air Products.
- Demonstrable experience in education technology and learning gained either in industry, a learning partner or consultancy.
- Extensive experience of leading change (at scale) in with proven expertise in transformation execution; the ability to define a future target state, the current ‘as is’ state and the transformation journey required to get from one to the other.
- Experience in working with leading edge Learning platforms (LMS and LXP) and learning providers – both specifying requirements and getting the best return on investment for the learning function and the organization.
- Extensive experience using learning frameworks such as ADDIE, Bloom’s taxonomy, Adult Learning Theory, Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels of evaluation, and Blended Learning Theory.
- Awareness of the global learning technology landscape together with thought leadership on the application of learning technology.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with market leading learning technology platform providers, available technologies and products.
- Understanding of adult learning theory and different approaches to people development including self-directed learning.
- An ability to build strong and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, at all levels, through collaboration, professional credibility and emotional intelligence.
- Experienced in extracting and analysing data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood to inform, educate and recommend actions to both the individual learner and the business.
