About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counselto take a leading role in our dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide strategic legal support, manage key contractual relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical part in supporting our operations and maintaining the legal integrity of our business processes.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Analyze, draft, and negotiate international business contracts, focusing on procurement-related agreements essential to component development, production, and delivery.
• Conflict Resolution: Manage legal correspondence with contractual partners, resolving emerging conflicts efficiently and constructively in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Legal Advisory: Provide comprehensive and pragmatic legal counsel to internal business stakeholders and management.
• Litigation Support: Oversee and coordinate legal proceedings and litigation matters, working closely with external law firms.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on Belgian and European legislation to ensure company compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
• Corporate Housekeeping: Maintain corporate governance and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a law firm and/or international corporate setting.
• Strong expertise in international business law, particularly in procurement and contract management.
• Solid understanding of legal procedures, dispute resolution, and corporate governance.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Preferred

• Proven leadership skills or a strong interest in developing such skills, with the ambition to effectively manage and mentor a small team.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.
