LIS PROJECT MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a project manager, you lead the implementation of a laboratory information system (LIS) in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Project budget management
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Manage project costs within approved budget and report on actuals versus planned
  • Manage resources, coordinating all efforts within the company, including third-party services or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Facilitate project initiation and scope definition
  • Plan and track schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external (partner) stakeholders.
  • Define and manage project success criteria & risks and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES & SKILLS

  • Master degree in scientific or related field; or equivalent through experience.
  • Several years of experience in project management in large enterprise projects, with a strong focus on change management.
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience in managing complex, multi-site and or multi-company projects is an asset
  • Experience in the healthcare sector and laboratories (data connectivity, LIS, quality, network management, IT infrastructure in labs, …)
  • Good business acumen
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to achieve results under tight timelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to establish rapport and productive relationships, social communicative, “bridge builder”
