What you’ll do

  • You define the vision/strategy on both primary transport & pallet management as well as on the system architecture for transport/warehousing in close cooperation with the warehouse managers of the Hubs in Belgium;
  • Being the SPOC for transport management/cycles & procurement on primary transport operations/pallet management;
  • You are the business partner for making budget (updates) for Belgian Hubs in close collaboration with the diverse stakeholders;
  • Responsible for performance/budget accountability of transport/pallet management;
  • Managing the productivity agenda & the digital roadmap on logistic services (while guaranteeing continuity);
  • Set-up of new logistic flows for new products/countries/customers – managing logistic footprint changes + managing network optimizations;
  • Initiating, participating and leading projects as well as searching for continuous improvement initiatives in the logistics network;
  • Management of audits with internal/external bodies on transport/pallet management activities;
  • Leading a team of 4 directly, while working in close relationship with export management and warehouse managers from the Hubs;
  • Internal interaction with the overall supply chain team (operational logistic teams, local Sales teams, Logistic Controller, IT and externally with carriers, pallet suppliers, etc.).

Who we’re looking for

  • You have a Masters degree (preferably within Supply Chain/lLogistics) with minimum 10 years of experience in logistics;
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
  • Microsoft Office skills;
  • You are familiar/have experience with the management of transport processes guaranteeing continuity of operations at the expected performance level within possible budget constraints;
  • Be able to work independently and be highly skilled in communicating, managing, negotiating with different stakeholders internally/externally;
  • You are dynamic, hands on and ambitious to take the activities to a higher level;
  • You are a People Manager and mature in your communication (presentation wise, coordination & convincing skills towards creating buy-in towards all relevant stakeholders)
  • You can handle and you feel challenged to work in an environment with a decent workload;
  • working independently and having a continuous improvement mindset: identifying areas for improvement, developing solutions for optimization and implementing sustainable solutions;
  • you are able to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity;
  • Have the skill to lead multiple projects simultaneously, to establish and adapt to changing priorities while being a real team player.
