The Proximus EBU, Enterprise Business Unit, is responsible for designing, installing, implementing and maintaining large and complex solutions for our enterprise and corporate customers.

Here our consultants and engineers collaborate, with others teams and the customer, on delivering projects within following domains:
  • (W)LAN
  • Datacenter
  • (SD)WAN

For this, we closely work together with teams providing support on Unified Collaboration, Security , Cloud or others.

You’ll work within a team of experts, operating within both national and international context.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Testing of new equipment, software release or “best practice” configurations.
  • Design, installing and implementing solutions within several technology domains
  • Update customer, product & solution information and processes.
  • Being responsible for implementations/incident handling and follow-up or escalations, if required
  • Provide 3 rd level support for our Service Desk teams
  • Collaborating with our engineering teams and senior level colleagues within other technology teams for integrated solutions.
  • Close communication and follow up with our vendors on features and bugs.
  • Remote and on-site interventions, can be during business hours or outside of business hours.
  • Providing technical support for our (pre-)sales teams in case more in depth technology insight is required

Techical requirements:
  • Generic:
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in complex networking and network virtualization
    • Excellent network troubleshooting skills
    • Security knowledge
    • Basic Linux and cloud knowledge
  • Knowledge on one of following domains:
    • (W)LAN (AP’s, RF, vlan’s, STP, SNMP, stack technology,…)
    • DC (SDN, ACI, vPC, FEX, DNA, ...)
    • SD-WAN & SDA (overlays, controllers & orchestrators)
  • Knowledge on one of following vendors:
    • Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus or Viptela)
    • Fortinet
    • Nokia Nuage
Other requirements:
  • Good knowledge of either Dutch or French (written and oral), good knowledge on another National language (oral).
  • Good knowledge of either English (written and oral)
  • Willing to provide support outside of business hours and becoming part of an on-call guard.
  • Work locations: Brussels, Gent, Hasselt or Namur
