Job Posting Title: Network Engineer - Senior

Description and responsibilities

The Network and Security team (NS) which is the centre of expertise is currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help the department ensure the daily management of the following infrastructure:

• 2 datacentres, 15 major sites and 400 branches in Belgium

• Private, MPLS, Internet & Cloud connections

• All security equipment (Checkpoint, F5,…)

• Local Area Networks in datacentres (Nexus) and sites (Cisco and Meraki)

Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure the customer satisfaction

• Manage level 2 and 3 incidents and changes with respect of the SLA and change management process

• Manage the high and critical incidents inside the crisis team

• Participate to the incidents, security breaches and performance monitoring

• Improve the technical documentation

• Participate to the design, the implementation, the test and the go-live of the projects

• Support the suppliers interventions

• Administrate the basic components of the domain(s)

• Maintain the technical documentation of the domain

• Monitor the implementation of the solution(s)

• Guarantee the availability, the performance and the evolution of the components of the domain in the respect of the SLA in terms of IT security, by phone or email

• Make sure the network is available, secured and operational at all times

Technical profile requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with large network and security infrastructures

• Good knowledge of Operating systems (Windows or Linux or iSeries)

• Good knowledge of Storage, Back-up, Servers

• Very good experience with Cisco, Meraki, Checkpoint and F5 equipment

• Expert knowledge of network (LAN, (W)LAN, Routing, VoIP, QoS, ..) and security (Firewall, Load balancer, IDS, …) technologies

• Expert knowledge of Network Equipments (ex.switches, routers, load balancers,..)

• Expert knowledge of Security Equipments ( ex.Firewall, reverse/Proxy, IDS/IPS, .. )

• Working knowledge of ITIL

• Certifications aligned with your experience

• Strong tracking skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Customer oriented

• Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision

• Quick learner, motivated self-starter

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills

• Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines

• Very strong communicational skills

• Good coaching/training/people management skills

Methodology/Certification requirements

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
