The scope of the role, as Portfolio Manager International Projects, offers you the opportunity to make a real impact, where you will be trusted to create the strategy and the implementation plan for engaging content and narratives which reflect the company strategy and direction, ensuring true engagement in support to the company goals.

Therefore, the candidate should have strong experience in translating complex concepts/messages into visuals and presentations for various stakeholders (internal & external).

Within Univercells, as Portfolio Manager International Projects, you will be part of the CAPEX team who is responsible for the conception, construction, and qualification of all infrastructure project of the UnivercellsGroup worldwide. The team also gives support to Univercellsclients.

Responsibilities

You will report directly to the head of CAPEX and be responsible to deliver and qualify all infrastructure projects for UnivercellsGroup and its clients outside Belgium.

• Interact with the project definition team to understand the need of the business and anticipate future investments.
• Select in collaboration with HR and manage a team of international project managers (internal or freelance) for the realization and qualification (CQV) of the projects.
• Assure the integration of the UNVC Engineering and CQV Method & Expertise for the international projects.
• Support the international project managers in the selection of local partners.
• Asist the Project Managers in setting up and organizing their team (project governance, meeting charters...).
• When needed organize sponsor meeting with contractors and suppliers to support the projects.
• Organize the necessary steering meetings.
• Manage interactions of the projects with the mean project stakeholders within Univercells group (project sponsor, program managers for client projects, QA, IT…)
• In collaboration with the PMO office, report on a regular basis on the status of the different projects
• When needed, play an active role in the management of the projects during their critical phases.

Although an important part of the function can be performed in the Brussels area, a regular presence on site will be required involving international traveling.

Requirements/qualifications

• Master’s in engineering (bio, chemical, mechanical or eq.) is required.
• Project certification (PMI, Prince2, Agile) is a clear plus.
• 15+ years of successful and relevant experience.
• Having successfully managed and qualified infrastructure projects in an international context.
• Exposure to biotech manufacturing activities is a must.
• Exposure to CQV (commissioning, qualification, and validation) is a must.
• Ability to work in a very constrained environment (timing, budget, level of quality, complexity)
• Initiative taker, pragmatic, solution/result oriented
• Strong people manager and team leadership
• Positive & "One team" spirit!
• Fluent in English and Spanish, French is a plus.
