About the job:
Based in Mons, Belgium Netherlands, you will join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) as Principal Logistics Business Analyst** within The Command and Control Centre (C2) . C2 Centre is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for Joint/Maritime/Land C2 services (including: subject matter expertise; research and development; software engineering; acquisition; operations and maintenance; and, disposal) in the following technical service areas: Land; Maritime; Joint; Special Operations, Logistics, Medical, Military Engineering and Nuclear Command and Control, Military Messaging, Situational Awareness, Operations Planning and Collective Training and Exercise Support.
You will work under the direction and delegation of C2 Centre Chief within the C2 Engineering professional group whose core competencies and expertise are highly technical and diverse covering systems engineering and application engineering fields of disciplines.
You will provide direct in-place system analyst support to SHAPE Support J4 with particular emphasis on NATO’s Enablement and Logistics Functional Area Services (LOGFAS) and emerging Enablement Support Services (ESS) covering capabilities in the areas of logistics reporting, sustainment planning, movement planning and execution as well as logistics information management and logistics interoperability as assigned to them within the area of responsibility of the C2 Centre’s Business Area. System Analyst role bridges the Community of Interest (CoI) Area Users and the Technical Teams in the implementation of enablement and logistics applications.
About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role will include:
- A Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience. Or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years post related experience;
- Expert knowledge in planning & execution of enablement, Movement & Transportation (M&T) and logistics operations in support of national or multinational force deployment and sustainment;
- Experience and skills in the development and analysis of doctrine and procedures in enablement and logistics area and their translation into business process models, software requirements and user stories;
- Experience in capturing, analysis and specification of functional requirements for integrated C2 capabilities and architectures;
- Experience and skills in development, training and practical use of existing national or multinational enablement, and logistics IT systems;
- Internally this position is titled ’Principal System Analyst’
