BelGan was a manufacturing facility for a famous integrated device manufacturer with products focused in automotive, industrial and medical applications. Now our vision is to become an automotive qualified leading GaN foundry in Europe. We are leveraging an automotive-qualified semiconductor fab, a highly skilled workforce in operations and R&D and a GaN Valley ecosystem in Belgium and Europe: imec, universities, customers and suppliers.

BelGan is currently looking for talent to strengthen the organization in several departments to reach it’s vision of building a GaN Valley in Europe.

Process Engineer (ETF_LAM)

Job Description

Act as the end responsible for processing, development and support within wafer manufacturing for the processes under your authority.
  • You will develop new processes and adapt existing processes to improve quality or cost.
  • You support production with the daily monitoring of your processes, and act on them if required.
  • You define processing equipment requirements and specifications and run qualifications of new process tools and processess.
  • You recommend and prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will simplify or facilitate manufacturing.
  • You work in close collaboration with the production operators, the industrial engineering team, the maintenance team, the development team and the integration team.

Within the job you will use:
  • SPC, Ppk-calculations, defects analysis software tools. Tools to proactively monitor, develop and characterize processes (using design of experiments) and model equipment parameters.
  • FMEA techniques to optimize process monitoring and to minimize the risk of quality loss.
  • You will learn to use measurement tools to follow-up the processes.

As a Process Engineer you will also be on call in off hours for the processes under your authority

Qualifications
  • Master or PhD Chemistry or Physics, or equivalent through experience.
  • Flexible, stress-resistant, strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good communication skills. Spoken knowledge of Dutch/English.
  • Affinity with the semiconductor industry and exposure to a production environment are a plus.
  • Especially knowledge of Plasma Etch Processes process is a great asset.
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience with JMP, FABGUARD, SPACE are also advantages.
