Atlas Copco produces the world’s most innovative air and vacuum solutions. To provide our customers with a total solution, we engineered matching piping solutions to transport various mediums from the utility room to the point of use. To support the manufacturing of these piping solutions, Atlas Copco is looking for a Process Engineerto support on multiple production-oriented domains.

Process Engineering in Compressor Technique Service?

This role is a hybrid between Manufacturing Method Engineering, Logistical Engineering and SQA, with a primary focus on production environments with automatizations.

In first instance, the Process Engineer is a project manager dedicated to the production sites that assemble fittings for the AIRnet product range. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge on our product and our assembly automations, driving increased productivity, quality and competitiveness towards our stakeholders through technical understanding of both machinery as well as process.

Based on your growing knowledge on process and product, you’ll build bridges between the production sites and the Planning, Purchasing and Engineering teams.

You’ll drive optimization projects to safeguard and increase production and logistical performance by strengthening the link between forecast and purchase orders on one side with subcomponent procurement and production planning on the other.

In the event of deviations with regard to quality, technical or logistic processes, you conduct systematic analysis (e.g. PFMEA, problem-solving tools, evaluation of process capability, value stream design, etc.) to solve and improve for the future.

The experience you gather will also let you support product development projects (concept to product – design for manufacturing).

Depending on the business needs, extra product ranges can be added to your scope later.

You’ll report in direct line to the CTS SQA Team Leader with a dotted line to the Piping Solutions PTM driven by Purchasing and Engineering.

Experience - Skills

• Starters are welcome to apply, but earlier experience in Production / Engineering / Purchasing environments is expected to be a plus
• Assembly automatization projects and programming are no stranger to you
• You’re able to analyze complex program requirements, identify key phases & workstreams
• Ability to manage performance of 3rd party service providers, to ensure services deliver value for money
  

Education / Knowledge

• Higher degree in Engineering or equal through experience
• Affinity and genuine interest in assembly production, mechanizations and logistics are crucial
• Automation software / programming knowledge is a plus
• Native speaker Dutch
• Good English speaking / writing / presentation skills
