Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill Ocean Transportation (OT) is a leading freight-trading organization, founded in 1956 and currently operating from Geneva and Singapore. Cargill OT charters more than 650 vessels at any one time for hundreds of well renowned customers around the world.
OT is looking for a Product Manager to create and launch a brand new Shipping Online Platform revolutionizing the maritime transportation industry.
In this role, you will lead the execution of digitalization and automation of all the key steps and interactions to operate one of the biggest dry bulk fleets in the world. The platform aims at being one-stop shop for customers and offering new horizon for customer to book and track their cargo and voyages and optimizing their supply chain and business.
You will report to the Digital & Transformation Lead within OT. You will work in close collaboration with the all the business, data, tech and support functions and can leverage the resources, knowledge and leading position of an innovative group with 160 000 employees and 150 years of experience. Key Accountabilities

Own product development, from discovery to delivery, understanding key business needs and designing the relevant solutions.
Understand in depth the existing processes, data available in all information systems from market price level to ship chartering and voyage execution in order to digitalize the business and operational processes.
Identify business value and end user benefits to build key performance indicators and estimate return on investment to help building and updating suitable product roadmap and vision.
Maintain prioritization and refinement of the product backlog, deciding what to build and when to follow the product roadmap.
Drive the development of agile teams to estimate features, define requirements and collaborate on executing the product roadmap and solving roadblocks effectively.
In collaboration with the OT Customer Team, engage with customers to define & refine product increments to maximize value generation with the use of innovative digital solutions.
Driving the implementation and visibility of best practices, processes and continuous improvement related to the Customer Domain while keeping a customer first approach.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Product management or product development experience
Experience facilitating teams and breaking down business requirements into deliverables
Minimum of four years of related work experience in the tech industry
Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred qualifications
Minimum of 5-year experience in digital & product management
Experience in agile development of complex customer-centric digital projects and solution
Demonstrated experience leading and implementing organizational change and process optimization.
An experience in designing, implementing and launching a CRM or E-Commerce platforms is a plus
Team player with a good networking mindset, innovative, creative, adaptable and strategic thinker.
Rigorous and pro-active problem solver.
Agile & Six Sigma certification or any other project management certifications.
Solid analytical and data experience (SQL, data visualization)
Experience in Shipping is a plus.
