BNP Paribas Fortis is looking for a Product Owner to enforce the IT Middleware Services tribe.

The IT Middleware Services tribe is part of the bank’s Infrastructure department and is a valuable partner of the customer journey’s tribes. We adopt solid infrastructure solutions (standardized and flexible solutions) and focus on keeping the quality and manageability of our production for all customers and employees in the bank.

Your future job

You will act as the Product Owner of the Windows Databases squad. The squad manages our SQL Server environment (about 2500 databases), ensure data integrity and a high level of availability and provide support to developers. The squad is also accountable for the support of Informix, through an external supplier. The Sybase ASE databases are also in scope.

Your main tasks are :

• To develop and maintain a realistic vision and strategy for the evolution of your products (roadmap).
• To define the features and increments needed for the evolution (LCM) of your products
• To refine the features in order to come to clear instructions and acceptance criteria
• To monitor the product backlog with an E2E mindset in order to deliver in time valuable features and increments
• To set the right priorities with your team and stakeholders.
• To align a highly varied stakeholder group (business, IT, group, security, suppliers, etc.) and gain insight into the many moving targets that arise within a rapidly evolving domain.
• To act as a servant leader towards your squad members, in close collaboration with the Scrum Master of the squad

Highlight your strengths

Your expert knowledge and experience are essential to this role:

• A Master’s degree in management or IT, or the equivalent through experience.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a product-related role, preferably in Infrastructure.
• You are a quick learner and can work with a broad range of subjects, both in terms of strategic business objectives and technical issues.
• You have excellent organizational skills.
• You have knowledge/experience with our Agile Way of Working.
• You have an awareness of the market and customer requirements.
• You are a team player and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• You have good knowledge of English and French or Dutch
