Product Responsible Engineering / Manufacturing Engineer

As a Product Responsible Engineer you are responsible for all improvements, changes and quality problems within Agfa Radiology Solutions, and this for a specific product group. In addition, you provide support to the Project Managers regarding technical projects. You will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team and you will be given the opportunity to grow in a challenging environment.

Job

• Within the R&D group you are the technical expert and SPOC for everything related to product modifications, product improvements and quality problems reported by Production, Service, Application, Marketing, R&D and/or external suppliers of radiological imaging products and systems.
• You enter new products and product adjustments in a PLM database (Engineering database) and you release these via Engineering Change Notes to internal and external production departments, Service, Purchase, Supply Chain and Marketing following internal procedures.
• You take the necessary initiatives and take on a coordinating role in quality problems; you ensure that all problems are escalated to the right services and ensure the follow-up. If necessary, you contact external suppliers.
• As a project manager you lead improvement projects with a limited scope.
• As an active CT participant, you build up an overview of the system (technical expertise) with your specific technical knowledge to steer and/or support the project manager and the project team.
• You determine the global logistics and production processes in collaboration with project management, production, supply chain and marketing.
• You ensure that technical regulations are met such as EMI, safety and sustainability in collaboration with the internal responsible department.
  
  

Profile

• You have a Master’s degree in industrial sciences: electromechanics, electronics-ICT or equivalent;
• You have knowledge of or experience with production (engineering);
• You have a broad technical interest and knowledge of hardware such as PCs, PC peripherals, access points, batteries, X-Ray tubes and/or generators, etc.;
• Experience in a medical environment is a plus;
• You are familiar with terms such as MDR, MDD, ISO13485, FDA;
• You work independently, proactively and customer-oriented. You have a great sense of responsibility and you can make a realistic estimate of the impact of the reported problems;
• You work accurately according to established procedures. You are not afraid of administrative work;
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English (speaking, reading and writing). German is a plus;
• You have excellent social- and communication skills;
• You preferably have knowledge of a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) database system;
• You are strong in planning and organizing.
