Main Purpose

Job Description

The Production Support Manager
  • leads the team of specialists (process and packaging), labor planning, Learning & development, and the tool coordinator;
  • oversees the L&D agenda and supports unit managers in achieving AOP volume and costs;
  • owns different plant productivity projects and is worth at least 250k€ of short-term ideas;
  • replaces the manufacturing manager.
Accountabilities

SUPPORT MANUFACTURING PERFORMANCE
  • Setting up and improving KPI reporting. Review and analysis of production KPI’s in collaboration with manufacturing manager
  • Demonstrate personal leadership on the people agenda through delivery of inspiring employee communication and building strong involvement mechanisms.
  • Ensure that production objectives are met, scheduling production for Plant to fulfil Company and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that products have quality standards aligned with all applicable government requirements and company expectations.
  • Understand and communicate plants capabilities and restrictions
  • Develop the B/E for all ideas generated in QCDM
DRIVE PLANT PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE
  • Develop business case against items of the productivity pipeline (resources, capital, benefits)
  • Manage the site integrated calendar in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Leads the development of Operating budgets (Direct Costs, Manufacturing Overhead, Capital);
  • Provides analysis for Veurne Factory and for Operating P&L’s
  • Track Actuals vs Budget, identify Risks and look for opportunities to maximize the effectiveness of spending;
  • Perform Competitive analysis vs. Other sites in Europe.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • Master degree or equal by experience
  • <5 years experience in the FMCG environment
  • Become Lean 6σ green or black belt of the site
  • Recognized for broad thinking, as well as analytical talent
  • Good communication skills interacting & aligning with peers and leaders when needed
  • Process-oriented, strong hands-on mentality and continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated drive for results and a can-do attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office modules (especially Excel)
  • Awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within manufacturin
  • Teamplayer
