As a project delivery director at Randstad Digital, you can expect to oversee the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects to our valued clients to ensure that they meet their quality standards, timelines and budget. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously across different clients and industries. You will work closely with our clients, technology teams, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives. We are hiring a project delivery director within our solutions department to join our team based in Ghent, Belgium. It’s sure you will never have a dull moment in this challenging and dynamic job. Your motto? Lead by example! Your team of project managers can look up to you for inspiration and motivation. Because you’re a real people manager, and thanks to your open and constructive feedback, your team’s performance is excellent. The development of each individual of your team is important to you, and you know perfectly how to help them on their journey. You’ll visit the largest clients at least once a month to maintain the relationship and when new projects start, you’ll be there with the project manager at the client site to guide the start-up in the first weeks, building the trust relationship with key stakeholders.

• You always keep a helicopter view, but still manage to stay detail-oriented.
• You will be responsible for managing and tracking the overall finances and timelines, identifying risks & issues and developing mitigation plans.
• You will assist the project managers to develop project plans, roadmaps and status reports to keep the stakeholders informed about the progress of the program. They will also communicate with various stakeholders to manage their expectations.
• You will ensure effective communication among the stakeholders and facilitate collaboration among project teams. You will provide guidance and support to ensure that project teams are aligned with program goals.
• You will ensure that project teams comply with project management standards and best practices. You will also manage the program governance process to ensure that program goals are met.
• You report back to higher management regarding the progress of your different projects and the current state of business on a regular basis.
• You keep track of all your clients and huddle up with your project managers to do some fine-tuning where necessary.

We’re looking for somebody with a certain commercial flair and a hunger to expand their client portfolio. What does that mean exactly?

• Together with your colleagues from the sales department, you’ll be managing the incoming leads.
• What are the client’s needs, and how can we translate them into a concrete plan? This will be on the top of your mind whenever you’re preparing an offer for our client.
• You’ll be responsible for drawing up the planning and budget, and you’ll continue to monitor them.
• Client satisfaction is high on your priority list. You are the person to talk to when issues arise, and as the problem solver you are, you occupy yourself with finding the right solutions.

So what are we looking for?

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or you are equivalent through experience.
• You have at least 15 years’ experience in program and project management.
• You possess deep knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
• You have a backpack full of presales and people management experience that you can use in this job.
• You have knowledge of risk management techniques and you’re able to develop risk mitigation plans.
• You possess excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You’re able to prioritize tasks effectively and delegate responsibilities to team members
• You have a technical background or experience with software development projects.
• Communication is key in this line of work. Your skills in this area help you give a positive direction to the team and in your sales work.
• You’re known for your ability to comprehend and analyze different situations.
• You can express yourself perfectly in Dutch and English, un peu de français pourrait aussi être un atout.
