Summary:

Preparation, implementation and validation of new major projects and process improvements to increase the plant capacity and efficiency, to improve product quality and conditions in terms of environmental, health and safety.

Key Accountabilities:

The projects concerned are defined in-CAPEX plans, Yearly management programs, Others.

Most of the projects are in the range of 0.2 Mio till 2 Mio CHF and the concerned person has to handle different projects simultaneously.

The major tasks for each of these projects/processes are:

• Preparation of the project,

• Projects definition (scope, functional requirements),

• Market investigation of available technologies,

• Detailed engineering,

• Contractor definition,

• Budget definition,

• Project approval administration.

Execution of the project:

• Choice of the contractor(s),

• Purchase of the required equipment,

• Follow up and/or supervision of the contractors.

Budget control:

• Follow up and end responsibility,

• Manage the quality aspects of the project,

• Manage the Safety and Environmental aspects of the project,

• Manage the start-up of the project.

Closure of the project:

• Make technical files of new projects (validation, safety, operations procedure),

• Make sure the “As built” files are available,

• Guarantees the required training of concerned people.

Therefor the person is required:

• To organize meetings with all the stakeholders,

• To participate actively in teams dedicated to this project,

• To analyze and evaluate the process and/or investigates process experiments with the aim of obtaining process improvements (quality/quantity and/or cost-wise),

• To manage the concerned budgets for this project,

• To propose improvements (based on evaluation/ analysis and/or experiments) and implement projects as approved (in cooperation with production M&E department and/or contractors,

• To advise management on priority needs for undertaking process/project engineering studies and evaluations.

• Perform other duties as assigned in relation to these projects.

Education:

• University degree required in the field of Industrial Engineering in Mechanics, Electromechanies or equivalent.

Language(s) Required:

• Fluent in English and French.

Work Experience:

• Project Management, Advanced Level 5-10 years
