For the ICT General Applications division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here ) we’re looking for a Project Manager (m/f/x).

The ICT Applications division supports Fluxys’ various business activities: General Applications deals with the Group’s non-gas-related activities (finance and accounting, HR, communication, document management, etc.), while Asset Management handles Fluxys’ gas assets (engineering, construction, maintenance, supervision, …) and Gas Flow Management focuses on the commercial operation of the network (e.g. contracting, nomination, flow planning, allocation, invoicing, publication, communication).

You will support the digitalisation programme launched by Fluxys to prepare for changes on the energy market (including the development of its hydrogen and CO2 transmission activities) by implementing one or more projects in one of the three core domains:

General Applications (e.g. the Smart Data Factory supporting business intelligence initiatives from across the Group);

Asset Management (e.g. the development of mobile applications supporting the work of our staff in the field);

Gas Flow Management (e.g. the expansion of our commercial software suite to prepare for new gases).

Your

respon­sibilities

Project Management

You will be responsible for one or more projects and will manage these projects from the definition of the business goals and requirements to completion

You will work with the architecture teams to determine the most appropriate solution and will come up with creative, effective approaches to implementation

You will monitor implementation based on Agile and/or PRINCE2 methodologies and will quickly take into account risks, changes to scope, budget, quality assurance, security and change management

You will organise regular steering committee meetings and will communicate clearly on progress made and decisions to be taken

Lastly, you will deal with the decommissioning and closure of projects, ensuring that the organisation can guarantee the sustainability of the developments introduced

Business Analysis

You will completely familiarise yourself with the content of your projects to gain a better understanding of the business challenges and identify the real needs of internal customers

You will actively participate in the preliminary study phase to devise coherent solutions that are integrated into Fluxys’ application landscape, adapted to Fluxys’ needs and constraints and are ready for the future

You will work closely with the architecture unit

Product Owner

Based on an Agile methodology, you will adopt the role of Product Owner by translating the needs of internal customers into logical user stories, scheduling them in different backlogs and actively participating in reviews

You will interact with the implementation teams and suppliers by communicating business needs while taking into account the technical constraints identified

To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Master’s degree combined with a strong interest in IT

Additional management training would be an asset

Excellent communication skills, strong customer focus and the ability to tailor your communication to your audience

An enterprising, solution-oriented attitude and a healthy dose of pragmatism

An analytical mind and the ability to quickly learn and master existing and new applications/technologies

A structured, meticulous approach to work and the capacity to work under pressure

Excellent command of French and Dutch and good knowledge of English

Initial experience in programming or data modelling would be an asset
