This position can be full-time or part-time.
As Python developer, you will be working with the collection and processing of data in the DeDUST project. The goal of DeDUST is to track space debris using star trackers. You will also develop scripts and processing algorithms in support of the Assembly, Integration and Verification of our products, including star trackers and reaction wheels and support web development / web services.
Tasks
• Design, test and improve algorithms to detect and classify space debris and determine the orbit
• Setup database to collect space debris data
• Visualizations and presentation of the results
• Design, test and improve AIV scripts
• Support customers in parameter tuning on their products
• Web development / web services
Required skills
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or (Computer) Sciences
• Hands-on programming skills (Git/Documentation/testing methods) and able to write clear documented code.
• Experience with Python and C code
• Experience with storing, retrieving and processing data in scientific databases (SQL, Pandas, HDF5, Parquet)
• Good reporting skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Desired Skills
• Statistical modelling and error calculations
• Experience with spatial computations (3D Vectors, Quaternions).
• Experience with embedded programming and electronics
• Interest in astronomy and or space
