Responsibilities

In the function of R&D Specialist you will report directly to the R&D Manager and your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting research and gathering information to apply innovative ideas and technologies
  • Making test protocols both for laboratory and production in order to ensure a technically qualified and economically viable product
  • Formulating better production methods, product properties, enhanced product performance, and new solutions
  • Establishing contacts with suppliers to continuously build knowledge and applying it to projects
  • Developing products (blends, wicks, packaging) with a high degree of sustainability, aligned with the agreed strategy
  • Staying informed about trends and legislation regarding sustainability
  • Analyzing samples to support internal developments
  • Performing laboratory tests for the development of new products and combinations
  • Cost-down goals are testing together with other departments (quality, procurement, marketing, sales)
  • A professional master’s degree in chemistry or sciences
  • Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience; experience in project management is a plus
  • Interest in chemical processes and sustainability
  • Good verbal and written proficiency
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Preferably knowledge of oils and fats
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work methodically towards a result
  • Flexibility with a focus on goals
  • A creative, problem-solving, and innovative mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
