The Center for Public Health Psychiatry studies, among others, the epidemiology of mental disorders in large general population and clinical samples. We are looking for a research assistent who will actively be involved in the preparation, implementation, and dissemination of large studies on mental disorders and suicidal thoughts and behaviours, as well as assisting in the statistical analyses of large datasets using population statistics.

Responsibilities

The Center for Public Health Psychiatry invites applications for a junior research assistant / scientific collaborator. Specific responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, designing, implementing, and following up new datacollections in the field of public mental health, including large clinical and population-based studies. Responsibilities will also pertain to assisting the dissemination of study results on local and international fora.

Profile

We are looking for a master profile in psychological, educational, biomedical, or social sciences with experience in the use of statistical packages and manuscript writing. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, must show a proactive approach in analyzing big data sets, and must have more than sufficient knowledge on the use of statistical methods, combined with a scientific eagerness and scientific rigor.

Offer

We offer a fulltime research assistant position (leading to a PhD) within a nationally and internationally leading multidisciplinary team with highly relevant experience and expertise in the field of public mental health. A contract of 1year is offered, but it may be renewed under the same terms and conditions additional year(s).
