A leading global financial services company with headquareters in Brussels is looking to hire a senior resolution secialist to join their risk team. The team is responsible for the development and implementation of the resolution readiness Programme.This is a great opportunity to be at the forefront of the companies resolution offering and put in place a robust resolution plan.

As a Senior Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Driving and owning specific cross-divisional initiatives under the program of work, to ensure that they are delivered on time and to a high standard
Supporting the Resolution Team Lead in responding to questions from internal stakeholders, regulators, clients and counterparties on Resolution readiness Program’s status and development.
Step in for the Resolution Team Lead as and when this may be required
Providing expert advice to Risk Management and the broader business, as appropriate, on resolution planning topics
Engaging confidently with several stakeholders across the entire business and able to present effectively at various level of the organization e.g., Resolution team; business lines; Executive Management etc.
Helping to ensure close alignment and integration of the resolution program across other on-going regulatory activities e.g., Internal Capital and Liquidity Planning Process; Recovery Planning; Operational Resilience etc.
Monitoring regulatory and industry developments as appropriate to evolve the company’s thinking within the shifting regulatory landscape, industry and market best practice befitting a systemically important financial market infrastructure

For this you will need: Â

Substantial experiences in the financial services industry with specific experience in Resolution Planning
Good knowledge of the regulatory landscape in Europe, specifically the EU’s relevant legislation (BRRD; SRM; CRR) and SRB’s “Expectations for Banks”
The ability to read and interpret regulation and relay the key messages (e.g. business impact), in an understandable manner, adapting to various stakeholders including SMEs
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Very good team spirit and able to act as a mentor/leader on the team
Ability to bring people together and build a consensus among stakeholders
