Summary:

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week).

Duties

This position is a rover assistant. The incumbent provides office management assistance to various sections when there is a staffing need. Duties vary based on location and nature of assignment. Duties include, but are not limited to composing and editing correspondence, attending meetings, assisting with VIP visits, handling mail, preparing supplies, receiving visitors and telephone calls, making travel arrangements, etc.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: One year of clerical/secretarial experience.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe PDF, typing, general office equipment. Critical thinking and organization.

Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluency in English is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Business communications skills including drafting routine correspondence;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office;

  • Flexibility in adapting to a non-routine workday with numerous interruptions;

  • General office and administrative skills.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Brussels may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
