Scientific Marketing Copywriter

Looking for meaningful work with a company that’s committed to working for better science? We are looking for a Scientific Marketing Copywriter with a passion for science, creativity, and clarity. Your role will be focused on concepts and content production for a broad range of our international business activities such as Life Science Research, Diagnostic services and GMP biomanufacturing.

Working within a dynamic, creative, and expert team, your role will be varied concerning execution. You will coordinate the roll-out of the appropriate scientific content for our marketing channels (including our E-commerces). You will transform our sales and marketing goals into measurable results by collaborating closely with our cross-functional teams and leveraging your expertise in storytelling and high-impact communication.

You will work from our European headquarters based in Liège with local departments, the European sales team, and our US subsidiary.

Your mission

  • Research, develop, write, and edit technical and informational materials for the overall marketing channels including website, e-commerce, online services, print, events and digital marketing campaigns (blog posts, web content, social media, product specifications, email Marketing, slide decks, brochures, posters, technical documentation, whitepapers, webinars, guides, videos, tutorials…)
  • Collaborate and support digital marketing activities by researching and editing scientific content according to accurate competition, semantic and KPIs analysis.
  • Unerring precision in the craft of brand-, voice-, and tone-correct writing that demonstrates attention to detail. Compositional versatility, from keywords analysis, and short promotional messaging, to long-form articles and video scripts.
  • Maintain style guides to ensure scientific consistency on all marketing content channels (copywriting, pictures, illustrations, videos…)
  • Collaborate closely with the Scientific Project Manager, team experts, product managers, Sales people, and head of marketing.
  • Support E-commerce activities on product datasheets, technical documentation, visual material, and copywriting.

Your Profile

  • Master/Ph.D. in chemical or biological sciences (biochemistry or molecular biology)
  • 3 years of experience in Life Sciences, Biopharma, or Biotech fields (in a similar position would be an asset)
  • Executing experience in copywriting
  • Familiarity with or at least a high comfort level working with scientific subject matter
  • A talent for clear communication
  • Interest in digital communication, graphic design, and aesthetics
  • Structured approach and critical thinking
  • Enjoy working in a team and being autonomous.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Creative, Positive, open mindset
  • Eager to learn.
  • Pro-active, creative, and passionate about science and communication
  • Rigorous, Result-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
