We are looking for a someone who will support the High Throughput Experimentation (HTE) lab team. This group is part of the Pharmaceutical Product Development & Supply department and focuses on understanding the physicochemical properties of potential drug candidates, establish understanding of the pharmaceutical formulations and support the whole pharmaceutical development trajectory.

What are the function deliverables?

1. Preparation and analysis of automated screens

• Media and buffer preparation
• Solid and liquid dispensing in support of automated screens
• Automated sample preparation
• UPLC method development
• UPLC analysis according to clearly defined methods or protocols
• Inform about potential technical/scientific challenges and risks, prioritization or resources conflicts.
• Reviewing, interpreting and reporting of the obtained analytical data when requested
• Ensuring that applicable guidelines, established operating procedures and safety regulations adhering to company work standards are being followed.

2. Performing analytical work related to solid state (optional)

• Sample (eg. residue) characterization according to clearly defined methods or protocols in support of solid-state determination in automated screens (XRD, THz raman, IR, birefringence microscopy)
• Inform about potential technical/scientific challenges and risks, prioritization or resources conflicts.
• Reviewing, interpreting and reporting of the obtained analytical data when requested
• Ensuring that applicable guidelines, established operating procedures and safety regulations adhering to company work standards are being followed

We are looking for someone with a bachelor or master degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related science. A relevant experience of at least 2 years is a must. You have a strong knowledge and interest in relevant techniques for physicochemical characterization of API, materials and drug product. On top of this, you are highly motivated and like to work in the lab. You are fluent in English, speaking Dutch is a big plus. We are looking for a dynamic team player who is dynamic and creative.
