Working as a Security Analyst

For this function, cybersecurity needs to be your passion, securing customers assets your mission. You will become a trusted advisor for our customers. The solutions you manage are the first line of defense, and you will get the opportunity to present and drive the continuous improvement process on their environment. As security is a tradeoff between different aspects, you will need to be pragmatic and result driven to get your message delivered, all in the benefit of reducing risk for the customer.

We are currently looking for an engineer with a drive in securing web-applications using Web Application Firewall technologies. You will be charged with deploying sites behind the WAF, enforcing a WAF policy on the firewall and manage the protected site through their lifecycle, including detection and handling of security event.

• Work structured and controlled on a global perimeter
• Advance our security services to keep on the cutting edge of the security industry.
• Provide guidance in the best practices in terms of WAF configurations and general reverse proxy configurations.
• Analyze security events raised by our tooling and take adequate steps together with the customer’s security department to mitigate them
• Advice customers on risk mitigation
• Interlock with internal OBS teams to actively implement the Group security services with the customer.
• Periodically report to the customer showing both effectiveness of the program and define the next steps.

Next to this function oriented to Web Application Security, we also expect you to work on security events coming from other sources, such as next-generation firewalls, endpoint protection suites and cloud security solutions.

What we expect of you

• 3 years of experience in an IT service oriented position giving support and/or performing installations of networking/security environments with proven working experience in IT systems administration / support / configuration.
• Broad knowledge on IT devices, such as servers, network equipment, workstations, …
• Knowledge on Web Application Firewalls, DNS, and Certificates management is very valuable.
• Working knowledge with F5 ASM and Akamai Kona Site Defender is a plus.
• A passion for cybersecurity and using new technology to secure customers.
• A thrive to get the job done.
• Ability to work in English with excellent presentation and communication skills.
