Group de Cloedt is a family owned business. Under the leadership of its founder, Gery De Cloedt, the group has grown into a strong competitor on the European market, with regards to its main activities:

• dredging;
• environmental services;
• aggregate business (with its own quarries & sea concessions);
• the execution of construction projects.

As the abovementioned activities are closely linked, they provide for ample integration within the group, but with respect for the individuality of each branch.

For the financial department in Brussels (Elsene) we are looking for aSenior Accountant.

Your function

In your role as Senior Accountant, you will manage multiple accounting files from A to Z together with a team and with support of a Business Controller. You will work in our HQ in Elsene however you will need to visit the subsidiaries from time to time so that you keep in touch with the people on the field. You will report to the group controller with more difficult questions or suggestions for improvements.

Your tasks will include among others:

• Managing the GL from A to Z for multiple files with the support of a team;
• Managing the treasury of those entities;
• Follow up of payment from clients;
• Making the necessary provisions for the month/quarter and year end closing together with the controller;
• Suggesting improvements to the management;
• Point of contact for the business managers and the external auditor for those files;
• Making sure that all fiscal requirements have been done: VAT, CIT, statistics of the NBB,…;
• Establishing the annual accounts with support of the auditor;
• Establishing the management reports together with the controller;
• Entering the figures into the consolidation tool for intercompany crosschecks and to provide the data for the consolidation which is managed by the reporting specialist;

Your profile

• You have a bachelor or master degree in Accounting, Business management, Finance;
• You have relevant experience as Senior Accountant;
• You are motivated and dynamic;
• You are eager to learn;
• You are a team player;
• You work independently;
• You can cope with stress and more complicated situations;
• You are fluent in Dutch, French & English;
