What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary technical contact for medium to large-scale customer facing projects. You will be engaged in the projects from project initiation to the project Go-Live. The Senior Business Analyst will work in conjunction with the Billtrust Project Manager and our customers to provide expertise to ensure that the deliverables and functionality are of the highest caliber to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for working with external customers on documenting the functional requirements, template document designs, and business requirements as it relates to billing and payment product suite. You will be also responsible for reviewing complex data files, mapping documents, customer requirements and providing guidance on best practices. You will need to be able to speak to the internal technical capabilities of Billtrust’s products while understanding customer requirements in order to provide customers the direction and guidance on their options for the best user experience as it pertains to their business needs.
  • Work directly with project stakeholders to gather, understand, and define both functional and business requirements
  • Serve as the primary implementation point of contact for the Development and Quality Assurance Teams at Billtrust in fielding questions/concerns regarding requirements and assisting the team in developing their test plans
  • Be the main point of contact for other internal Billtrust Teams in fielding questions/concerns as it relates to the build of how to support a customer’s in-scope requirements
  • Work closely with stakeholders to clearly confirm the overall project scope and ensure all project team members and stakeholders understand the impacts
  • Proactively communicate progress and alert Project Managers and stakeholders if a deliverable is not achievable or is likely to slip, allowing sufficient time for a sensible course of action while recommending alternative approaches and/or options to accommodate deadlines and prevent slippages
  • Use communication and leadership skills to establish a common understanding of project requirements, and expectations on delivery across internal and external teams
  • Consistently learning and keeping up to date on Billtrust products, capabilities and new features
  • Support and analyzes the feasibility of presales and sales opportunities where necessary
  • Recommend, and make improvements to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Desktop Procedures (DTP) documentation that is leveraged by the team for future projects
  • Participate in the learning and development of junior professional services staff
  • Travel up to 30%
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or related role
  • Expertise with written and oral communication in gathering and documenting requirements, creating functional design specifications, business writing skills and interacting with business partners and technical resources at all levels of organizations both internally and externally
  • Experience and strong proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and non- technical personnel at all levels of organizations both internally and externally
  • Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT), supervising test team activities, and assisting users through user acceptance test processes.
  • Detailed understanding of data file specifications, data elements, and file transmission protocol
  • Strong sense of urgency and proven background meeting stringent timelines for project deliverables without compromise to quality while effectively working with other teams.
  • Proven ability to decompose high-level information into details and applying creativity to solving or providing options to complex problems
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently, understand/manage priority, and successfully manage customer expectations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education/experience
