Senior Consultant - Forensics

A career within our Forensic Services will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks and complex issues. As part of the team, you’ll help provide support to our clients who wish to investigate potential financial crime, support clients responding to regulatory enquiries, support our forensic technology experts in executing investigations, provide dispute analysis, etc. You’ll also help clients review and remediate systems and controls to prevent further issues.

To help us grow and achieve our ambitions, our team is looking for a Senior Associate to join the team in Brussels. As a Senior Associate, you will work alongside colleagues with extensive forensic experience that will enable you to advance your career and to gain experience in topics that will remain important for businesses in the future.

Your tasks

As a Senior Associate in Forensic Services. your tasks and responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to:

• Supporting and executing fraud investigations, dispute and data analyses and other engagements with a forensic nature, respecting project plans with detailed timelines and budgets under the instructions of managers and above.

• Facilitating meetings with our clients and stakeholders in an organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.

• Assisting with the preparation of reports and other deliverables such as high quality investigative reports for delivery to clients detailing procedures undertaken, results, limitations and recommended actions.

• Preparing external working paper files with documentation of procedures performed and evidence obtained.

You will also:

• Assist with the preparation of proposals that describe our approach, deliverables and fees to projects.

• Support client pre-acceptance procedures including conflict checks, client investigation checks and drafting engagement letters.

• Train and supervise staff and coach colleagues who will be operating under your instructions.

• Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations related to our services.

• Attend and participate in project team meetings to discuss and brainstorm on additional areas to investigate and additional forensic services (i.e. computer forensics) that would be beneficial to the client.

As a Senior Associate, your direct reporting line will be to a Manager or above.

Your profile

We are looking for a Senior Associate with the following profile:

• 2-5 yearsof professional experience.

• Experience in the area of (investigative) audit and accounting(forensic accounting) or forensic support servicesat a Senior Associate level.

• A creative and investigative mindset to identify possible fraud schemes and address the risks they pose to an organization (eye for detail and analytical ability).

• Experience in working as part of a project team in a support or lead roleas well as experience in client-facing engagements.

• You use your analytical and communication skills combined with self-initiative within a project team.

• Excellent report writing skills and able to work with minimum supervision and with tight timelines.

• An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.

• You master Dutch or French and English fluentlyboth in spoken and written language. German is a plus.
