Looking for an exciting opportunity that brings together the development of your technical skills, analysis of business plans, design of financial models and valuation of companies and assets? Then why not join our Deals team?

You’ll join our team of 17 experts who are part of the wider Deals team of 100 consultants. We add value to our clients’ businesses by delivering a wide range of financial services focused on valuation, financial modelling and business planning. We work with clients in different sectors facing a variety of challenges such as mergers and acquisitions, project finance, strategic planning, accounting and tax structuring.

What you’ll learn and do

• We work increasingly on integrated service offerings, so you’ll be involved in projects with other Deals teams like Due Diligence, Corporate Finance, Business Restructuring and Debt Advisory

• Collaborate with our Audit and Tax & Legal Services departments

• Work on a team with (Senior) Managers and Directors

• Tackle a variety of assignments that can range in length from two to six weeks

Who you are, what you’re like

• You have between 1- 3 years of relevant work experience (in valuation, business planning, financial modelling, strategic and financial consultancy, banking and/or the finance department in a corporate environment, etc.)

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with individuals, teams and lines of business

• Excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to persuade and influence

• A proactive approach and flexible attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Good results from your university studies

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Good understanding of financial statement analysis

• Basic knowledge of discounted cash flow (DCF), risk analysis, valuation techniques and/or credit analysis

• Familiar with tools like Bloomberg and/or Thomson is a plus

• Enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme would be an asset

• Solid writing and presentation skills

• Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch
