Senior Emulsion Polymer Chemist - Exciting Career Opportunity

Location: Limburg, Belgium

Our client, a global leader in Specialty Coatings, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Emulsion Polymer Chemist to join their innovative R&D team. This multinational company is at the forefront of emulsion polymerization, dedicated to designing and developing cutting-edge emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants, and adhesives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovative Development: Design, develop, and formulate water-based acrylic emulsion polymers for various applications including coatings, sealants, and adhesives.
  • Experimental Execution: Lead experimental development from initial concept through to commercialization.
  • Technical Support: Address product and manufacturing issues with expert solutions.
  • Advanced Formulation: Create next-generation emulsion polymers.
  • Data Presentation: Present findings and data at both internal and external meetings.
  • Global Collaboration: Work in synergy with R&D teams across the globe.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the R&D Director.

Profile

  • Educational Background: PhD or Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in emulsion polymer synthesis.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in emulsion polymer synthesis and structure-property relationships for various applications.
  • Skills:
    • Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective collaboration within an R&D team.
    • Proficiency in analytical and mechanical characterization of emulsion polymers.
    • Strong project planning capabilities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
