Join our Finance and Accounting team as a Senior GL Accountant at our Leuven office, where you’ll play a crucial role in financial analysis and reporting for our EMEA region.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee month-end closures, ensure accurate financial reporting, and work closely with the finance team to drive best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely group reporting.
  • Streamline financial procedures through standardization and automation.
  • Collaborate with EMEA finance teams to establish shared services and implement best practices.
  • Manage local vs. IFRS reporting variances, prepare variance analysis, and ensure accurate accruals.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, working directly with auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with transfer pricing documentation and other statutory or tax-related matters.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses and support business controlling teams with balance sheet insights.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in tax and audit processes, preferably in an international environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
  • Proficient in ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with hands-on financial experience.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Able to maintain a broad perspective while ensuring accuracy in details.
  • Fluent in English, with Dutch proficiency as an advantage.
