• As a Senior Lab Technician, you will play an active role in supporting our customers with novel lab services.
• You will be a member of the EMENA (Europe, Middle East, North Africa) Customer Lab Services (CLS) team. They are responsible for developing and performing innovative lab services, that Kemin offers to its customers.
• In this role, you will work at the interface between the laboratory and our Sales and Marketing force.
• Depending on your experience, your main role will include the execution and reporting of results from chemical and biochemical analyses. Furthermore, you will have an active role in the design and development of new services for our customers. You may also be requested to contribute to research projects related to new CLS service development which are initiated by the members of the innovation team.
• Your work will be performed in close collaboration with other members of the CLS and innovation team in Belgium and other Kemin laboratories in the EMENA region. Your will report to the EMENA CLS manager and be part of the Business Unit "Kemin Animal Nutrition & Health".
  

• Responsible for the initiation, execution and reporting of regular CLS services and innovative CLS projects, in order to support the value of our products and services to the customer;
• Development of new analytical methods and improvement of existing methods to increase efficiency;
• Research into specific scientific areas that help to further develop new services that are valuable for our customers;
• Assist in new service development projects. Both from the angle of the product development as well as the supporting services that we intend to create to support our customers with the application of our new products;
• Operate in accordance with our ISO procedures;
• Timely execution of laboratory analyses;
• Reporting of results and activities according to the Kemin guidelines.
  

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or related field.
• Mandatory! You have an analytical background and proven experience in separation science (GC, LC) and compound identification and quantitation technology (MS, NIR).
  

• Flexible to interact in a team environment;

• Creative mind in order to identify new ideas for service and product development;
• Communicative and professional in order to assure smooth collaboration with various Kemin departments and our customers;
• Experience with a broad range of analytical techniques is highly recommended.
• Knowledgeable in statistics and chemo metrics
• PC literate (MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiar with data acquisition and data analysis software packages
• Strong knowledge of English (verbal and in writing);
• Ability to assimilate knowledge on processes and products in a short period of time;
• Ability to multi-task and to work highly organized and planned yet with flexibility and adaptability to change;
• Time management and organization skills to assure on time delivery of lab results to our customers;
• Knowledge and/or experience with quality systems such as ISO.
