More than 20 renowned automotive manufacturers rely daily on the know-how of their approx 5,000 employees. Due to the ambitious growth of the organization, they wish to strengthen the team near Ghent with a Senior Plant Controller.

As the senior plant controller you will responsible for providing financial guidanceand support for the growing & developing plant. You will be responsible for all cost controllingaspects of the plant and will lead a team of two controllers onsite.

You report directly to the corporate controlling manager and collaborate closely with the plant director.

Responsibilities:

• You act as the key financial & strategic business partner to the plant director. You lead and manage the plant finance team by providing objectives, guidance and functional excellence.
• You ensure system/SAP usage for all steps of operations to maximize visibility on performance by process within production.
• You work in close collaboration with operations & supply chain to continuously gain better insight into key KPI’s (ex: standard cost, overhead, labor efficiency, under & over absorption of costs, purchase price & production order variances...)
• You provide insight into all conversion cost components (direct labor, plant overhead, production yields) and recommend/implement technigues to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain best practices.
• You draw up investment proposals, ensuring financial follow-up during the implementation phase and analyze actual costs with budgeted costs.
• You ensure proper internal control environment and compliance with all corporate policies.
• You work with the plant leadership team to set product cost reduction targets, proactively monitor product life cycles and ensure timely achievement of new products cost reduction targets.

Your skills & competences:

• You have a higher degree in accounting or finance and have at least 5 years of experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment.
• You have experience in managing a small team on a daily, operational basis.
• You haveoutstanding English communication skills and can communicate on different levels.
• You are skilled inSAP (FI module) and Excel; experience with BI-tools is a plus.
