Senior Risk Engineer

CONTEXT :

• In deze snel veranderende economische, klimatologische en ecologische wereld is preventiemanagement essentieel voor onze professionele klanten.

• Ter uitbreiding van het Risk Engineering team zijn we op zoek naar een burgerlijk of industrieel ingenieur met relevante ervaring als Risk Engineer.

• Wij ondersteunen bedrijven door hen bewust te maken van de risico’s die hen kunnen schaden: brand, overstromingen, diefstal en vandalisme.

• Onze klanten zijn actief in alle activiteitsdomeinen en bevinden zich voornamelijk in België maar ook in Europa.

JE FUNCTIE:

• Als Risk Engineer inventariseer en evalueer je de risico’s naar materiële en bedrijfsschade bij onze klanten en je rapporteert hierover op een objectieve wijze aan de onderschrijvers.

• Om de risico’s bij de klanten te vermijden of te verminderen bepaal je de noodzakelijke preventie- en beschermingsmaatregelen.

• Je begeleidt onze klanten en adviseert hen bij het implementeren van investeringsprojecten om tijdig en preventief risico’s te voorkomen of te beperken.

• Daarnaast adviseer je onze afdeling Schade en de klanten na een schadegeval en bij de wederopbouw en/of herbouw.

• Je signaleert verbetermogelijkheden in risicoanalyse, risicoclassificatie, preventieprogramma’s en rapportages.

• Uiteraard volg je de ontwikkelingen in je eigen vakgebied en blijf je op de hoogte van relevante wijzigingen in de wet- en regelgeving.

JE PROFIEL:

• Industrieel of Burgerlijk Ingenieur.

• Uitstekende kennis van Nederlands. Goede kennis van Engelsen Frans.

• Je bent meer dan 5 jaar werkzaam als Risk Engineeren vertrouwd met risk management programma’s.

• K ennis van sprinklage technieken en/of andere (automatische) blussystemen is een pluspunt.

• Je bent klant- en resultaatgericht, je legt gemakkelijk contact en hebt een positieve invloed op anderen.

• Je beschikt over een goed commercieel inzicht en een uitstekend probleemoplossend vermogen.

• Je optreden wordt gekenmerkt door integriteit, gedrevenheid en besluitvaardigheid.

• Je kan zowel autonoom als in teamverband werken.

• Je beschikt over een goede kennis van MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

• Je bent bereid om in Europa te reizen (tot 10% van je tijd).

Role:

• As part of the Risk Engineering team, you will evaluate risks at our customers and report about them in an objective way to the Underwriters;

• During site visits, in order to prevent or reduce the risks at our customers, you will define the necessary preventive and protective measures;

• You will support our customers and will advise them when defining and implementing investment projects in order to prevent or limit possible risks in a timely and preventive way;

• You will also advise our Claims handling department and our customers after a loss and for the reconstruction project;

• You will follow new developments in risk prevention and risk management and stay informed about any relevant modifications in legislation and regulations;

• You will contribute to improving our risk analysis and classification methodology.

Profile:

• You have obtained adegree as an industrial or civil engineeroryou have anequivalent profile through experience;

• Knowledgea/o experience aboutinsuranceis an advantage as well as expertise insprinkler protection techniques;

• Preferably, you have been working for several years as a Risk Engineer and are familiar with risk management programs;

• You have developed good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);

• You are customer andresults oriented, are sociable and have strong influencing skills;

• You have good commercial feeling and an excellent problem solving ability;

• Your behaviour is characterised by integrity, enthusiasm and decisiveness;

• You can work autonomously as well as in team;

• You have excellent knowledge ofDutchand good knowledge ofEnglish andFrench.
