Job Title: Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Rapid DNA Platform

How will you make an impact?

The Senior Technical Sales Specialist develops Rapid DNA business (instruments, kits, consumables and professional services) in their designated region (Russia / CIS and Middle East), with direct management of Key Accounts and indirect, through channel partners. This is a great opportunity to work in the emerging markets with a very unique product!

The goals are to develop the business plan, mid and long-term objectives, pricing strategy and customer satisfaction goals for their respective areas and operate at a senior level in the customer organisation.

What will you do?
  • Keep close in-person contact with appropriate levels of HID rapid DNA Accounts, investigate their business needs and serve as main contact for Rapid DNA for entire organization with focus on law enforcement and security/military segments
  • Competes for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets
  • Gathers, analyses and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriated to the Rapid DNA market
  • Interacts with executives, major customers, and other senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives that have a large impact on the company.
  • Collaborates with HID core team as well as product managers, R&D and marketing on building comprehensive forensic rapid DNA strategy.
  • Works along-side EMEA HID Account Managers to help manage HID Core Accounts with focus on Rapid DNA applications
  • Demonstrates/practices strategic selling excellence
  • Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information
  • Ensures that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to increase business
  • Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing and finance
  • Develop Rapid DNA channel partners’ network
  • Works with EMEA PMO Manager to ensure large complex projects are effectively managed

How will you get here?
  • Significant sales experience in the Law Enforcement, Forensic, Security or Military markets is essential
  • Demonstrated superior problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including training and presentation skills.
  • Ability to direct activities of others to accomplish goals while maintaining ‘big picture’ overview.
  • Takes ownership and accountability to achieve the proper team output.
  • Significant experience of relevant business/corporate development.
  • Excellent ability to evaluate and solve complex problems and the strategic implications of different business approaches.
  • Ability to think outside of the box for the application of rapid DNA technical solutions to novel situations
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing complex agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of providing Voice of the Customer feedback for continuous improvements to products
  • Experience of dealing with senior leadership within customers
  • Proficiency in English is essential, Arabic and/or Russian is a plus.
  • An understanding of ‘point of contact’ technologies is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel in the assigned territory (Russia / CIS and Middle East), for up to 70% of the time.
