Technical Sales Specialist Belgium

As Technical Sales Specialist Belgium you will be primarily responsible for executing the Company’s sales strategy in identifying, prioritizing, developing and securing new business opportunities, clients and profitable revenue streams. The Technical Sales Specialist role requires active and effective coordination and collaboration with central and regional resources (Operational Managers Belgium and technical staff) as well as divisional-based commercial group resources (Sales Manager Europe and Sales Representatives).

Essential Job Functions

Supports the overall strategic vision of TEAM Belgium and target market opportunity by improving commercial performance in the target market by:
  • Applying technical expertise in business development and sales dialogue with clients to elevate clients’ understanding of the value inherent in Company’s capability and capacity;
  • Identifying and prioritizing attractive new client opportunities and driving profitable market penetration with such clients;
  • Building and sustaining profitable market penetration with existing clients in support of assigned Commercial Group resources;
  • Establishing and maintaining pricing discipline and direct margin lift with TEAM services, whether discrete or part of an integrated solution, thereby maximizing profitability;
  • Reviewing win/loss/pending tracking and related analyses to identify opportunities for more effective client prioritization and Company resource allocations;
  • Supporting job walks, quotes and bid processes when applicable to maximize probability of project operational and commercial success;
  • Supporting commercial training, potentially with both content development and delivery;
  • Providing and keeping current competitive analyses to identify both evolving opportunities and threats for the Company;
  • Building industry visibility in Company’s technical capability and capacity through participation in and/or leadership of industry standards committees, conference white paper preparation and presentation, etc.;
  • Collaborating with Operations and Commercial Group resources when applicable to ensure coordinated execution in all aspects of client’s experience from initial sales lead to project close-out.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred;
  • Excellent written and spoken command of German and English is required;
  • Ten years of collective industry experience required;
  • Five years of direct sales and business development experience required;
  • Five years of sales supervisory or management experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated specialized technical and commercial knowledge in specific product discipline is required;
  • Ability to position, price and sell value associated with both discrete services and more complex integrated solutions involving multiple services;
  • Ability to complete work assignments and proposals in an allotted time period and manage multiple priorities;
  • Ability to learn and apply Salesforce CRM platform for the purpose of tracking sales leads, forecasting sales activity and coordinating sales efforts with other Commercial Group resources;
  • Intermediate business software use and applications knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to travel to domestic and/or international District offices and client sites to perform assigned duties; travel requirement up to 50%.
Work Conditions
  • Position is located at a District office in Antwerp, Belgium;
  • Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
  • After hours and weekend support is customary with this role.
