Position Purpose

Last Mile covers the portfolio of products and services from CHEP for in store solutions, aiming at growing our customers sales and reducing their costs. We offer products to promote or replenish products in the most cost effective way, as well as services to boost sales and reduce costs. Stores are the place where the shoppers make most of his decision to buy products and is the clear focus of our team.

The CHEP Last Mile Solutions team offers Platforms, Services to support customers to better serve their shoppers.

The LMS team is in charge to support our markets offering effective solutions to customers that will help them to increase sales and to reduce costs with and end to end perspective of the supply chain.

This customer centric position consists on supporting our markets to achieve the full LMS potential Business. The key position purpose is to support Countries on developing and implementing LMS Strategy, and providing expertise in shopper understanding to position CHEP as a real trusted partner in the Last Mile.

The EU LMS Manager will support countries to create and deliver the Commercial LMS value proposition to the LMS Ecosystem:

  • Customers: Retailers, Manufactures, Copackers
  • Targets: SC, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Catman, Digital, Shopper Marketing, Customization teams
  • Commercial Dynamics: Replenishment, Promotions, Digital, New Categories/Channels, Innovations
  • Partners: Packaging Manufacturers, Mechanical handling equipment companies, Merchandising, Marketing, Media, Digital and Shopper Marketing agencies. Laboratories, Virtual, Mixed and Augmented reality agencies; apps and software developers, market research consultants. Universities and sectorial bodies
  • Sales tools: Kantar & Nielsen data, LMS analytics, Opp App, INES Cost Analysis, Configurator, Planography, VR, MR, AR

The role will work closely with:

  • Central teams, like Product Management and Innovation, ZWW, Insight & Strategy, Buyer Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, PMO
  • But also local Marketing, and internal customers: Commercial, Retail and LMS teams

Major Accountabilities are:

  • To create, execute and institutionalise new commercial process to approach customers: Platforms, Services and Digital Technologies
  • To create and execute new tailored made commercial value propositions to the different targets within all type of customers
  • To create and execute strategic alliances with the main partners in order to increase LMS volumes
  • To create and execute different methodologies to support countries to better understand the needs of the customer
  • To develop strategic solutions to meet our business targets
  • To develop new sales tools to build the LMS value proposition
  • To support countries to identify business opportunities in other to create a solid pipeline – All type of customers
  • To inspire and train markets in Catman methodologies and the usage of the tools
  • To develop strong working relationships and contacts within the different types of customers
  • To represent CHEP in different forums

Qualifications

  • Business Degree

Experience

  • Experience of working in sales or category management (FMCG or Retailer)
  • Comfortable with matrix management across large regions
  • Proven ability to influence and deliver
