Role Purpose and responsibilities

You will be working to make the world of one of the largest global organisations safe, conducting patrols, searches, administering badges and delivering – at all times – outstanding customer service to our client and their employees.

As the leader of the onsite security team, it is crucial that we fulfill our duties in a thorough and efficient manner.

First and foremost, we must take ownership of all aspects of the security team and environment, ensuring that our operational service delivery is appropriate and meets the required standards. It is important that all employees are fluent in and compliant with our policies and procedures at all times.

As the Security Supervisor, it is your responsibility to manage employee performance, including monitoring absences and ensuring that presentation standards are consistently met. Additionally, you should make sure that employees have received comprehensive training to operate safely and meet the necessary requirements. It is also crucial to ensure that employees have access to the tools, equipment, and information they need to perform their duties effectively.

In the event of onsite incidents, it is essential that you respond efficiently and accurately, providing guidance and support to your team members. Working with the Securitas Branch team, you should manage and implement rosters correctly, making sure that there is always an adequate backup or relief team available to maintain post coverage when necessary. Reporting key information metrics to internal teams regarding onsite service delivery is also a crucial part of your role.

Furthermore, as a Security Supervisor, you may be required to assist management with ad-hoc requests and ensure that site documentation is maintained and up to date at all times. Providing consistently high levels of customer service is a priority, as is continuously seeking opportunities for training and development. Your input in enhancing the security stature of the site by recommending innovations and new ways of working to site management is highly valued.

Lastly, it is imperative that you represent ACS and Securitas in a way that upholds our standards, brand, and values.

Requirements

Requirements - Essential

• Demonstrated ability to work with integrity and be self-motivated while working unsupervised.

• Proficiency in using access control software.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate various software programs.

• Excellent general IT skills, including troubleshooting and basic networking.

•Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive approach to all tasks and responsibilities.

• Previous experience managing or assisting in managing a team within the corporate security sector.

Requirements – Desirable

•Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

•Ability to speak, read, write and understand additional languages

•Experience reporting key metrics to internal and external stakeholders

•Experience in HR activities (recruitment, disciplinary procedures, delivering training, developing teams, etc.)

•Flexible availability

•Security license(as applicable to local laws)
